Easter
We have church at 9 am and I did not have time for pictures. After church they change clothes before pictures. So, I decided to skip them all together. However I got pictures making their Easter eggs. They had indoor Easter hunting because I was lazy to hide eggs outside, it was cold. I put the kids age on it, they were allow to pick only theirs. Hailey's were easy to spot and the boys wanted the challenge, so they got it. We of course have candy all day and to today there is still candy left.

Harrison's Baptism
In Harrison's baptism it was only our little family. Only Megan (Doug's sister) with her two little kids came to Harrison's baptism.
While Doug confirmed Harrison the holly ghost, the Lord let me know what a beautiful moment was that. I am the first and only member in my family (besides my dad, who got baptist after me). My children are the first strong generation in the gospel. This day will be in my mind forever because I was present in the beginnings of our family in the gospel. It was told to Harrison that he will be a strong father and husband. This means to me that my children will be strong servants of the Lord.
I made the determination to attend to all my grandchildren baptism and remember this special day. Those days it will be a lot of cousins, uncles and aunts supporting such event, because we all be in the gospel. I am so grateful the Lord trust me to be the beginner of many bless generations.

Argentina
Doug and I had a great time in Argentina.
We went with a group of MBA students. We visited companies and tourist sites. Doug ate steak every day. I found out that, you could find good steak in modest restaurants and incredible steak in more selective places. We took Tango lesson, I honestly did not enjoy it. It was too stiff, with perfect steps. Maybe because I am used dance salsa and merenje, which they are more relax and flexible. Buenos Aires is main city in Arg. There are a lots of tall buildings and life in downtown is fast pace. We visited Mendoza for couple of days. This place was more quiet and slow pace. What impress me the most about Mendoza was that people take 3 hrs siesta in the whole town, also the winneries were impressive, even for people like us who do not care at all about wine.
Of couse the highlight of the trip was spending time with my hubby.

Thomas Life
Hola familia y amigos. I finally decided to work on my family blog. It is going to be more like a family history for us. Maybe no alot of people cares about what is happening in our family.
I'm still doing it.
Our family is made up of Doug, Dora (me), Hunter (13), Hayden (11), Harrison (8) and Hailey (5)
We love to spend time together, watch movies, eat out and sing in the car.
Lately, I feel that I need to enjoy the little moments with my children. They are growing really fast. My boys still like to play like little kids. They play cops with gun and swords toys. I used to hate the screaming and running. Believe it or not, I am trying to embraced those crazy games because I see them going away really soon.
Knowing how fast kiddos grow. I love to see my Hailey playing with her dolls, talking to herself , singing, dancing and making videos like "I carli" tv show.
One thing I am trill to see is that my kids play with each other all the time.
They are happy kids despite of their once in a while muddy mom.

Juanuary 09

Hunter's painful day. The plan is that Hunter will need brazes for the period of 18 months. He was no excited to find out that peanuts, sticky candy and pop corn were forbidden. Of course he cheats once in a while. At the end it will be worthy. He'll have a beautiful smile.
He went to school after this. He did not have pain until he got home from school. Next day was much better.

Christmas 2008 was again at home. The kids get up at 6 am, thank goodness.
The Wii was welcome to our home with excitement including Doug. Harrison of course got football and star wards stuff. This is the last year Harrison believes that Santa came to our house. Hailey got all kind of princess stuff, including a bike. I have to accept that Hailey's and Harrison's pile was bigger. Hunter and Hayden were happy to go what they wanted including money

Pumpkin patch was fun. Hailey had a hard time to choose her pumpkin. This is our 5th time in the Majority farm, it is the best around it. The boys have done all and still they enjoyed it.
Halloween
Harrison was a scary skeleton and Hailey was Snow White
Hunter and Hayden were busy collecting candy. I did not take picture of Hunter and Hayden, they were busy getting their candy.

Hancock
Hancock is our new puppy. He went to pick him up from a farm in Taos. His mom is a black poddle and his dad is a Golden retriever. He was 2 months when we got him. He is mellow active puppy.
After the kids asking for a dog for three years, I gave up. During the Summer I decided that I was ready to the challenge of getting a dog. The firs two months, I am willing to train and get Hancock into routine. The goal is that the boys will feed, clean after and play with Hancock.
Hancock is having fun in our large size grass. I hope this experience goes well.

First day to school 2008
Harrison had a quiet start at his 2nd/3er classroom. Most of his class mates were with him last year. I believe that he is gifted but never tested. He excels in every subject. The school is being providing challenge for him. Finally he accepted to take piano lesson. He made a new best friend from church that goes to the same school (Cooper).
Hayden starting 5th grade. He also is with classmates from last year. He is being with the same teacher three years in a row. He was placed in the 6th grade math group. Hayden has progress in reading, his class is planning to read challenging books this year. He'll continue piano lesson.
Hunter making the jump to middle school. He knew at least these three kids from the old schoold school. Hunter can wait to write stories or articles. He will have to adjust to have different teachers for each class. He will be taking private violin lesson at school.

Tampa vacation
It was a long week vacation in Tampa. We went to the beach everyday. We all got so tan. In this picture Hayden found a death fish. He wish he could take it as a souvenir!!
My favorite part was that we had two side by side little apartments. The kids love to stay in their place, and of course for me and Doug had quiet time after long days in the beach and pool.
We went to a pirate boat, to a Bush Gardner's amusement park, and to a water park for a day. There were big slides and a wave pool. The best part was that it was no crowded.
I feel so bless to be able to take vacation with my hubby and kiddos. When I grow up I remember going once to a water park, the only vacation my parents took me. Whenever I see pictures of that vacation I still remember how fun was to be with my family all day doing fun stuff. I hope my kids keep all the memories in daily and vacation times we have because sure they are full of joy.
